POP3 Email Setup / Configuration

AUTOMATIC EMAIL INSTALLATION FOR OUTLOOK / OUTLOOK EXPRESS / MAC MAIL

1.     Login to the Control Panel http://www.yourdomain.com.au/cpanel

2.     Click Email Accounts

3.     Find your email address in the list (or create one)

4.     Click More -> Configure Email Client

5.     Select your Mail program for POP3 Access (you may also use IMAP if so required)

WINDOWS MAIL

1.      Open Windows Mail

2.      Go to the ‘Tools’ menu and select ‘Accounts’

3.      Click on the ‘Add’ Button and select ‘Mail’

4.      In Display Name, enter your name the way you would like it to appear when you send email, for example: Bill Gates

5.      In E-mail Address, enter your username@yourdomain.com.au email address.

6.      Your Incoming Mail Server is POP3 and it’s name is mail.yourdomain.com.au

7.      Your Outgoing Mail Server will need to be your Internet Server Providers (ISPs) outgoing SMTP server (e.g. Some Bigpond services are mail.bigpond.com). Check any existing active email accounts or call your ISP for this information if necessary.

8.      For the Account Name enter your username@yourdomain.com.au email address and then enter password.

9.      If you want to Windows Mail remember your password, check the Save Password box. "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" must be unchecked.

10.   Click Finish.

To go in and check your setup, select the appropriate account under the ‘Mail’ Tab in the ‘Accounts’ Dialog box and click ‘Properties’.

OUTLOOK

1.     Open Outlook­­

2.     Go to the ‘Tools’ menu and select ‘Email Accounts’ or ‘File’ and 'Account Settings'

3.    Click ‘New’ or ‘Add new email account' and click 'Next', select ‘manual’ configuration if it appears.

5.     Select 'POP3' or ‘Internet Email’ and click 'Next'

6.     Tick 'Manually Configure server settings'  and click 'Next'

7.     Choose 'Internet Email' and click 'Next'

8.      Under ‘Server Information’ enter the following

      - Your ‘Incoming Mail Server’ (POP3) need’s to be mail.yourdomain.com.au

      - Your 'Outgoing Mail Server' will need to be your Internet Server Providers (ISPs) outgoing server (e.g. Some bigpond services are mail.bigpond.com). Check any existing active email accounts or call your ISP for this information if necessary.

9.     Under 'Logon Information'  enter your username@yourdomain.com.au full email address as the user name and then enter password.

10.  Test and Click 'Next' when finished.
